Nettles grow in abundance and is a beloved tonic herb which supports nourishment. have it every weekly in an infusion or tincture to nourish and awaken every cell in my body.
Oat straw is a deeply nourishing tonic, being high in silica, calcium, amino acids. It is also a nervine, meaning that it can soothe the nervous system and is a potent ally in times of exhaustion, irritation, frustration. It offers grounding and can bring a sense of calm to an anxious nervous system. Oat straw helps to build strength and resilience from within. For the worrier, the constant planner, the new or seasoned mother, for the one always showing up for others.
Rose flower invites compassion, love, joy and heart opening while at the same time standing firm in boundaries. A symbol of the heart, it nourishesemotional well-being during times of change or vulnerability. Rose is great for the person who over extends and gives, who struggles to receive. I find rose to be a great ally for each mother, who too often gives and neglects her own needs. It is a beautiful plant remedy to connect to the heart space, allowing to open ourselves to love, including self-love and compassion while honouring our own truth.
Hibiscus is a bright, beautiful and delicious flower with a tangy flavour. It promotes vitality and inner balance through its rich content in vitamin C and polyphenols. These are lovingly grown, harvested by hand and air-dried by my son’s grandfather in Hong Kong
Lady’s mantle, a dear friend to the uterus and the womb space. Her gentle astringent properties restores and helps the body draw inward. She invites to reconnect with the body’s inner transitions, and what a transition motherhood is!

Raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus), wild harvested nettle (Urtica dioica), oat straw (Avena sativa), rose petals (Rosa canina), homegrown hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa), lady’s mantle (Alchemilla)

Add 1 tbsp per 250ml of freshly boiled spring or filtered water. Steep covered for 20 minutes, or overnight for a more potent infusion. Strain, sip with intention and attention.
Store away from heat and light.
