This preparation combines the active ingredients of honey from Hertfordshire hives from Neil of Smoke and Hive, organic raw apple cider vinegar and plants that work together for optimal relaxation and bring inner sunshine.
You will be amazed by the colour of this blend - such a potent bright colour.
This is called an oxymel - a mixture of raw apple cider vinegar and raw honey are used to extract the benefits of plants, and it’s delicious! Raw apple cider vinegar also contains probiotics while raw honey has strong antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.
Lemon Balm is a cherished part of my herb garden. She’s got deep roots in mythology, herbal tradition, and astrology—known for her soothing, uplifting, and generous spirit. She is a gentle sedative that calms the nerves while lifting the spirits, embodying generosity both in nature and in energetic essence. Traditionally ruled by the Moon and Jupiter, she’s a good ally during emotional transitions and moments when we seek balance, calm, and clarity. She reminds us to soften, breathe, and trust the cycles of life. As a nervine, lemon balm soothes the nervous system, easing tension, restlessness, and irritability. She can also help ease sadness and grief.
Saffron : For mental and physical well-being, Saffron has origins in ancient Persian traditional medicine as a treatment for mild-to-moderate depression, for its calming, healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Modern studies show that saffron contains crocin and safranal, which have demonstrated its ‘antidepressant’ effect.
Calendula is one of my favourite flowers in the garden, and one of the first I have grown even before becoming an herbalist, because they will make me happy as soon as I saw them on my allotment. Just looking at them confers an infectious 'joie de vivre', which Culpeper praises as their ability to 'gladden the heart'. That’s the effect that they have - shining bright like the sun, as they open their petals with the sun and close them as the sun sets. Though more commonly used for its skin properties (which are so many and the main ingredient of the Calendula Balm), I add a little to this blend to add their sunshine an energetic level.
Orange peel rounds off this blend beautifully with its uplifting citrus notes.
Crafted with seasonal herbs in small batches, each blend may vary slightly.

I love working with this elixir as a cure of 10 days - taking 1tsp or 5ml every day, either neat (it is soooo delicious!) or mixed with a little water, in the morning after your morning lemon water.
You can also add 2 to 3tsp to sparkling water to make a delicious herbal mocktail, or drizzle over pancakes, yoghurt.
Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
